Vision training and its origin
Vision Training commonly termed as vision therapy or optometry is a form of medical or optical service which aims to significantly improve the visual skills such as visual processing, visual perception and is used to correct or avoid nearsightedness (myopia).
The concept of vision training is not new; it originated in the mid nineteenth century. In beginning using vision therapy involved non-evasive and non surgical treatment of strabismus i.e. misaligned eyes is invented. Later on with the collaboration of diverse eye care specialists, treatment for other eye disorders came into existence.

• In 1929, without any surgery using a small device dust particles are removed from eyes.

Sequences of activities are included in vision training programs that is prescribed by optometrist after clinically detecting visual deficiency. Depending on need a therapy is provided to the patient which includes both home and office exercises,or may use lens, prisms, instruments and specialized computer programs to treat the visual disorder. Depending on the severity of disorder the length of treatment can vary from weeks to several months.
